-In the aftermath of the massacre there was mania about school security and new restrictions were set all over the U.S. Many schools enforced things like see-through backpacks and no tolerance policies. SWAT is more prepared for events like this by chaging and training in different tactics. Instead of containing the shooter they actively seek to "neutralize" the shooter and prevent more injuries. There are stricter guns restrictions making it harder for minors to get guns. There is more emphasis on identifying behavior before tragedies happen.
-The massacre at Columbine High School not only created and changed laws and policies it brought attention to violent video games and music. The event brought suspision about TV, movies, and internet, bullying, cliques and anti-depressant use in teenagers. It created tighter security and more awareness in adults at schools across the nation.
